What is the difference between high-strength bolts and ordinary bolts?
1. Strength
The load of high-strength bolts is much stronger than that of ordinary bolts, and the performance is also high and the value is large.
2. Material
The rod, nut and washer of high-strength bolts are all made of high-strength steel, commonly used 45 steel, 40 boron steel, 20 manganese titanium boron steel, 35CrMoA, etc.; ordinary bolts are usually made of Q235 steel.
3. Stress
High-strength bolts apply pre-tension and transmit external force by friction; ordinary bolt connections transmit shear force by bolt rod shear resistance and hole wall pressure.
4. Use level:
High-strength bolts are commonly used in two grades: 8.8 and 10.9; ordinary bolts are generally 4.4, 4.8, and 5.6.
5. Number of uses
High-strength bolts are generally not reusable; ordinary bolts can be recycled.
Advantages of high-strength bolts: simple connection construction, good stress performance, removable, fatigue-resistant, no loosening under dynamic load, etc.

Daily precautions for high-strength bolts:
1. Do not hammer into the bolts during installation to prevent damage to the bolt threads.
2. Use electric wrenches that are regularly inspected to ensure the accuracy of the torque and operate in the correct tightening sequence.
3. Surface rust, oil stains, burrs on the bolt hole wall, weld nodules, etc. should be cleaned up.
4. The contact friction surface must meet the specified anti-scratch coefficient requirements after treatment. The high-strength bolts used should have matching nuts and washers, and they should be used as a match when used and should not be interchanged.
5. The treated friction surface of the component is not allowed to be stained with oil, dirt and other debris during installation.
6. The friction surface of the component should be kept dry during installation and should not be operated in the rain.
7. Strictly check and correct the deformation of the connected steel plate before installation.
