1. Knock

Never use a wrench or screwdriver to remove rusted or bitten stainless steel screws. If the hexagonal corners of the screw slip, or the screw is broken and the wrench is damaged, it will be more trouble than gain. We can use the hammer to continuously knock on the rusted stainless steel nut. Generally, a few knocks can loosen the nut. For example, the fixed screws at both ends of the pedals of the bicycles we often ride, we can master the force and angle to knock on the nuts according to the thickness of the pedals. We can knock on the metal screws with a little force, and the plastic ones should be knocked gently. If knocking still doesn't work, you can use a hammer to circle the nut in the direction. You can easily remove the nut.

2. Vibration

Vibration can also loosen the screws. Use a hammer to gently vibrate the handle of the wrench. Generally, the rusted screws can be loosened by vibration and can be unscrewed with tools.

3. Burning

If the above two methods cannot solve the rust problem, then we can use the fire method, use the gas welding oxidation flame to fully roast the screws and nuts, and then drip a little oil on the red-hot screws. The purpose of heating the screws is to make the screws expand when heated. The purpose of dripping oil is to make the screws shrink rapidly when they are cold, increase the gap between the screw rod and the stainless steel nut, and the nut can be screwed off after the oil flows in. During the welding process, stay away from flammable materials. Avoid fire.

4. Welding

Sometimes when we disassemble parts, we accidentally break the stainless steel screws. At this time, it is not recommended to use an electric drill, because if the strength is not controlled well, it is easy to drill the wire hole. The best way is to weld a long iron block on the fault with electric welding. The cross-section of the iron block is determined by the diameter of the stainless steel screw.

5. Punching

Some stainless steel screws are corroded and deformed at the top, and cannot be removed with a wrench or wire cutters. At this time, it is recommended to use the impact method. First, use a hammer and a through-the-top flat screwdriver to impact a V-shaped groove vertically on the top of the screw. Then, adjust the angle of the punch cone and impact in the direction of screwing out the screw. Once it is loose, you can use wire cutters to screw out the screw. This method can also be used when the "one" or "cross" screw has a slippery mouth, combined with wire cutters to screw out the screw.
